This Sunday, we will gather to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. We recall that the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles as tongues of FIRE to empower them to proclaim the good news of God’s love to the World. May the Holy Spirit, renew us once again and set us on FIRE to boldly share God’s love with one another.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the FIRE of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Thank you all for your loving SUPPORT of our Fiesta last weekend. It was such a beautiful expression of our St. Finbar family coming together and celebrating the gift of community. As we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord this weekend, let us remember that Jesus always gives us SUPPORT on our journey of faith. We prepare for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost that will SUPPORT and guide us on our journey. We also receive the loving SUPPORT of our earthly mothers and our Blessed Mother in their prayers and encouragement. May we continue to SUPPORT one another as brothers and sisters in the Lord on our journey home to heaven.
