Jesus calls us to be salt of the earth and LIGHT of the world. When we are baptized, we all receive a baptismal candle reminding us of our role to bring God’s LIGHT to everyone we meet. So many in our society experience darkness. We ourselves at times encounter the darkness of the world. But as God’s children, we always have the LIGHT of Christ to guide us. May we shine brightly the LIGHT of Christ within us to transform this world in His love.

BEYOND our earthly life is the Kingdom of God. BEYOND our human heart is the Divine Heart of God. BEYOND our human love is the Unconditional Love of God. God is preparing us for a life BEYOND our earthly reality, and a love BEYOND a human love. With His grace, may we continue to grow BEYOND our human limitations to truly build God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Just like the first Apostles whom Jesus CALLed at the Sea of Galilee, God comes to each of us and CALLs us by name to share in His mission of bringing love and light to the world. He desires for us to follow His CALL for He knows best how to fulfill our lives and to make them truly blessed. With faith and trust in the Lord, may we always answer God’s CALL as a response to His unconditional love for each one of us.
