Friday Finbar Update with Fr. Francis 9/23/2022
We are called to BUILD the Kingdom of God by being true brothers and sisters in Christ caring for and loving one another as God loves us. I am grateful for all the ways we continue to BUILD the community of St. Finbar by the way we show up for one another. May we ask for the grace and strength we need to stay focused on Christ as we BUILD the family of God.

Friday Finbar Update with Fr. Francis 9/16/2022
Essential to being community is the need to GATHER as brothers and sisters in the Lord. In fact, what we missed most during the pandemic was our opportunities to GATHER with loved ones. Grateful that we are able to GATHER again, God invites us to the table of the Lord to GATHER as His family every Sunday. May we take this invitation to heart.
As a way to make our GATHERings fruitful, we have restored the Little Church Ministry for 3-5 year olds at the School Library, as well as Children’s Liturgy of the Word for our 1st – 4th graders so that all may GATHER and hear the Word of God at their level at the 11 am Mass.
Lastly, GATHER with me and our community in Albert Hall this coming Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 7pm for our first “Cabernet and Catholicism” — a fun evening of prayer, fellowship, and spirituality.

Friday Finbar Update with Fr. Francis 9/09/2022
Today, we celebrate the feast day of St. Peter Claver. He was instrumental in serving thousands and thousands of people being brought through the slave trade in Cartagena, Colombia. His mission was to lift everyone up in their beloved DIGNITY as children of God. As we reflect on his life this day, may we remember that we too are called to raise and restore one another’s DIGNITY. In a world where so many people have lost their worth, may we bring them DIGNITY by proclaiming the truth that ALL are beloved children of God.
