Every year we celebrate the ASSUMPTION of our Blessed Mother on August 15th. On this day we recall that Mama Mary, at the end of her life on earth was ASSUMED into heaven body and soul. This year, the Solemnity of Mary’s ASSUMPTION is not a Holy Day of obligation. Nevertheless, the ASSUMPTION is a great reminder of our ultimate destiny as God’s children, that like our Blessed Mother, we too will one day live in God’s Glory in the eternal Kingdom body and soul.

All of us are in a gradual process of transformation and TRANSFIGURATION by God’s grace to the likeness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tomorrow (August 6th) is the Feast of the TRANSFIGURATION of Our Lord. In God’s love and mercy, may we also shine the presence of God’s light to bring about the TRANSFIGURATION of the world.
