“For through Christ we both have ACCESS in one Spirit to the Father.” Ephesians 2:18 Although our lenten journeys may be challenging, we must remember that our loving God has given us ACCESS to His love, mercy, and strength. May we seek this ACCESS to God’s power constantly, knowing that only in Him can we accomplish the work of renewal in ourselves and the world. This Wednesday, March 23rd at 7pm, we will celebrate the communal Lenten Penance Service. God will give us ACCESS to his mercy and renewing grace in the sacrament of confession. All are invited.

“SHINE Jesus, SHINE, fill this land with the Father’s Glory!” This weekend is Daylight Savings Time. We spring forward this Sunday getting more sunSHINE during the day. As we prepare for the Transfiguration of Jesus on this 2nd Sunday of lent, may we too be transformed to SHINE with God’s glory bringing his light and love to all those in need. Let us SHINE as God’s children!

As we begin the season of lent, may we take to heart the call to EXAMINE our lives on a deeper level so that we may have eyes to see the ways in which we are in need of His mercy, healing, and conversion. A good way to EXAMINE our lives is to take a couple minutes every night at prayer to ask these questions: 1 – Where/When/How did I allow Jesus to be most present in my day today? 2 – Where/When/How did I block or prevent Jesus from being present with me today? Let us search and EXAMINE our ways, and return to the Lord! – Lamentations 3:40
