As God’s children we were destined to share and live in the DIVINITY of God. We began the Christmas Season with the beautiful celebration of the Incarnation, our God becoming man. We will end the Christmas Season with the Celebration of the Baptism of the Lord. Through it Jesus will open the doorway for us to share in his DIVINITY. What an incredible gift of love, that our God who loves us so much would desire to share his DIVINITY by entering and sharing our humanity.

On this New Year’s EVE, I invite everyone to take some prayerful reflection on the year that was and to pray for the blessings in the new year to come. The EVE of a new day (and a new year) is always the space of the in-between, the time of patiently waiting for something new to happen. It is a great time for deep reflection. As we reflect on this New Year’s EVE, we are grateful for one of the greatest gifts we have received, the gift of the NEW EVE: our Blessed Mother Mary. Tomorrow on January 1st, New Year’s Day, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Mary Mother of God at a Bi-lingual Mass at 10 am. Hope you can join us. May you, your family, and your loved ones be blessed this New Year’s EVE, and may the New EVE continue to intercede and pray for us. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

In our final week of ADVENT, I invite you all to choose LOVE in the midst of the darkness and chaos we encounter both in the world and inside each one of us. When we feel weak or powerless, may we allow God’s LOVE to give us the strength we need to bear His LOVE to the world. Chris Rice sings: “’Cause it hits me like lightning That LOVE must keep fighting And somehow, every time LOVE is gonna break through!” We will celebrate a week from today LOVE breaking through a world of darkness and sin. May every heart, prepare room to receive this LOVE anew.
