We continue to look for something SOLID during a time of continued uncertainty with the pandemic and all the things going on in our world. It reminds me of the story in Matthew 14:22-33 of Jesus’ miracle of walking on the water. As long as Peter kept his eyes focused on Jesus, he was able to find SOLID ground on water. But as soon as Peter focused on the wind, waves, and storm, and lost his focus on Jesus, he would sink in the sea and lose his SOLID ground. May we continue to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ our rock who is the SOLID foundation on which we stand during this time.

After a few weeks of summer break, I am READY with renewed vigor to continue our journey together in the Lord. St. Peter in his first epistle tells us: “Always be READY to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.” (1Peter 3:15). In these trying times, may we be READY to share our faith in our savior Jesus Christ.

Our God is a God of PROVIDENCE who is always PROVIDING for our needs with His abundant grace. May we fully entrust our lives to God’s PROVIDENT care. Many blessings!
