Welcome to our blog.

As Christian Disciples, we are sent on MISSION to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world. We all have a MISSION as baptized Christians. There are however, people whom God calls to a special MISSION to proclaim the Good News to the most remotest parts of our world. As God’s family, we are invited to help their MISSION spiritually with our prayers, and financially with our resources.

This weekend is MISSION Appeal Sunday. Please welcome Fr. Ed Rogan who will share with the St. Finbar community the MISSIONARY work that is going on especially in the Diocese of Chulucanas, Peru. May we be as generous as possible in support of his MISSION as well as all other MISSIONARY activity throughout the whole world.

As we head into the 4th of July weekend, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the gift of LIBERTY we enjoy in this great nation. The Declaration of Independence reminds us that we are endowed by God with “certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, LIBERTY and the pursuit of Happiness.” St. Paul in Galatians however, reminds us that our freedom and LIBERTY must be used for service and not for the flesh.

May we as Christian Disciples continue to use our LIBERTY to care for one another in love and service helping one another to reclaim and restore our dignity as beloved children on God.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most SACRED Heart of Jesus. This beautiful feast grounds us in the reality that all of our beliefs and teachings in the Catholic Church are grounded in love. God desires for us to live and share in a love that is SACRED and divine.

On this historic day, we as a church continue to uphold our belief that all life is SACRED from conception to natural death. May we choose to live and love through the most SACRED Heart of Jesus Christ.
